Measuring principle:
Based on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction, induced voltage is generated when a conductor moves through a magnetic field. In electromagnetic flow measurement, flowing medium acts as a moving conductor. The induced voltage (Ue) is proportional to the medium flow velocity (v), and is transmitted to the amplifier via two measuring electrodes. Volumetric flow rate (Q) is calculated using the pipe cross-sectional area (A). A switched direct current with alternating polarity produces the DC magnetic field. Calculation Formulas • Induced voltage: Ue = B · L · v • Volumetric flow rate: Q = A · v
