Measuring principle:
Upward fluid flow in the vertical tapered glass tube creates differential pressure to lift the float. The float bears dynamic lift, buoyancy and gravity. It keeps stationary at an equilibrium height once upward forces counteract gravity. Given the upward-widening tube profile, float position is proportional to flow rate; flow readings are obtained directly via the scale at the float apex.
