The core measurement principle of the RC800D is polarography. It generates an electrochemical reaction between the built-in rotating alloy electrode and the chlorine in the water sample, producing a current signal proportional to the chlorine concentration. At the same time, the instrument precisely adds chemical reagents (such as buffers or masking agents) through a reagent pump, chemically separating "residual chlorine (total chlorine)" and "free chlorine" in the water, thereby achieving high-precision, continuous online measurement of specific chlorine forms.
