The measurement principle of the MG8E paramagnetic oxygen analyzer is based on the magnetic oxygen flow ratio system. It utilizes the characteristic that oxygen is a strongly paramagnetic gas (easily attracted by a magnetic field). A non-uniform magnetic field is established within the detector. When the sample gas intersects with the clean auxiliary gas (N₂) in the magnetic field region, the oxygen molecules in the sample gas are attracted by the magnetic force, causing a change in the flow state of the auxiliary gas. This change in the auxiliary gas flow rate, determined by the oxygen concentration, is detected by a highly sensitive thermistor, thereby accurately calculating the oxygen concentration in the sample gas.

Explosion-proof type

The MG8E paramagnetic oxygen concentration analyzer (explosion-proof type) is primarily used for industrial process safety monitoring and efficiency control in environments where flammable and explosive gases are present. Its typical applications include monitoring the oxygen content in combustible gas mixtures in refineries and chemical plants (such as ethylene cracking units and ethylene oxide reactors) to prevent explosions; analyzing residual oxygen in recovered gases in the metallurgical industry, such as blast furnace gas and coke oven gas; and detecting low-concentration oxygen purity in air separation nitrogen and inert gas protection systems (such as bright annealing furnaces), ensuring stable and highly accurate measurements in hazardous areas with an explosion-proof rating of Exd II BT4.
