ISC40

The measurement principle of the ISC40 inductive conductivity sensor is based on electromagnetic induction and its internal structure contains two toroidal magnetic cores (transformers). The transmitter applies a high-frequency alternating current to the drive coil, generating a alternating magnetic field, which induces eddy currents in the solution being measured. The magnitude of these eddy currents is proportional to the conductivity of the solution. These eddy currents, in turn, induce a secondary voltage in the receiving coil. By measuring the strength of this secondary voltage, the conductivity of the solution can be calculated.

The ISC40 inductive conductivity sensor is primarily used in harsh conditions involving high conductivity, scaling, strong corrosion, and the presence of solid particles. Its typical applications include: monitoring the percentage concentration of concentrated acids (such as sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid) and concentrated alkalis (such as caustic soda) in the chemical industry, controlling high-concentration electrolytes in electroplating and metal surface treatment, measuring black liquor and pulp in the paper industry, detecting the concentration of high-concentration syrups and cleaning agents (CIP) in the food and beverage industry, as well as measuring the conductivity of fluids containing slurries or abrasive mud in the mining and metallurgical industries.
