ROTAMASS Giga

The core principle of ROTAMASS Giga is to use the Coriolis effect to directly measure mass. Here's how it works: Inside the instrument, the measuring tube is made to vibrate at high frequency through electromagnetic drive. When fluid flows through the vibrating tube, the Coriolis force causes opposite twisting at the inlet and outlet of the tube (that is, a phase difference). The size of this phase difference is proportional to the mass flow of the fluid. At the same time, the vibration frequency of the tube is directly related to the density of the medium inside. By detecting changes in frequency, you can also get the density, so it can measure mass flow, density, and temperature all at once.

The ROTAMASS Giga is specifically designed for high flow scenarios and primarily serves the petrochemical, oil and gas field, and large-scale trading handover sectors. It is commonly used for the transfer and measurement of LNG, asphalt, drilling mud, high-pressure natural gas, as well as in custody transfer processes such as oil tankers, tank trucks, and rail loading; it is also suitable for high-viscosity fluids (such as resin and heavy oil) and multiphase flow conditions on offshore platforms and refineries, meeting the requirements for high-accuracy mass and density measurement in large-diameter pipelines.
