Measuring principle:
The measurement principle of the Rosemont 8700M series electromagnetic flowmeters is all based on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction. The sensor generates a magnetic field through the excitation coil. When the conductive process medium flows through the sensor, it cuts the magnetic field lines and induces an electromotive force in a direction perpendicular to the magnetic field and the flow direction. The magnitude of this electromotive force is directly proportional to the fluid flow rate. After the electrodes installed on the sensor tube wall detect this voltage signal, the transmitter converts it into a standard electrical signal proportional to the flow rate. So as to achieve precise measurement of volumetric flow rate.
