Measuring principle:
The FMR63B operates on the Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) principle. The antenna emits an 80 GHz microwave signal with a linearly varying frequency. The signal is reflected off the surface of the medium and received by the antenna. The frequency difference between the transmitted and received signals is proportional to the distance to the medium surface, enabling the level to be calculated with high precision. The 80 GHz high-frequency signal features an extremely narrow beam angle with excellent focusing performance and strong immunity to interference, enabling continuous non-contact level measurement.

The FMR63B is a member of the new generation of 80 GHz radar level transmitters. Thanks to its complete hygienic design, it is suitable for continuous non-contact level measurement in hygienic applications such as food & beverage and life sciences. Measuring accuracy ±1 mm, maximum measuring range 80 m, process temperature -40…+200 °C, process pressure vacuum…25 bar, main wetted parts PEEK or PTFE. Suitable for vessels with internal fittings (high beam focusing and strong anti-interference). Process connections support M24 adapters and hygienic connections, with optional 5-point or 10-point linearity protocol. Built-in operating wizards and Heartbeat Technology make commissioning simple, and the measuring accuracy can be verified during operation.
