Measuring principle:
According to Faraday’s Law of Electromagnetic Induction, an induced voltage is generated when a conductor moves in a magnetic field. In the electromagnetic measuring principle, the flowing medium acts as the moving conductor. The induced voltage (Uₑ) is proportional to the medium flow velocity (v) and transmitted to the amplifier via two measuring electrodes. The volumetric flow rate (Q) is calculated based on the pipe cross‑sectional area (A). The DC magnetic field is generated by switched direct current with alternating polarity.
