Measuring principle:
According to Faraday’s Law of Electromagnetic Induction, an induced voltage is generated when a conductor moves within a magnetic field. For the electromagnetic measuring principle, the flowing medium acts as a moving conductor. The induced voltage (Uₑ) is proportional to the medium flow velocity (v) and is fed to the amplifier via two measuring electrodes. The volumetric flow rate (Q) is calculated from the pipe cross‑sectional area (A). Switched direct current with alternating polarity produces a direct‑current (DC) magnetic field.
