Measuring principle:
pH is the unit for measuring the acidity and alkalinity of a medium. An electrochemical potential is generated on the glass membrane of the electrode, and its potential value depends on the pH of the medium. Hydrogen ions (H⁺) accumulate selectively on the outer membrane, producing an electrochemical potential, namely an electrochemical boundary layer with a potential difference. The built‑in Ag/AgCl reference system serves as the reference electrode. The measured voltage is converted into the corresponding pH value based on the Nernst equation.
