Measuring principle:
pH is a measure of a medium’s acidity and alkalinity. An electrochemical potential is generated on the glass membrane of the electrode, and this potential depends on the pH value of the medium. H⁺ ions accumulate selectively on the outer membrane, producing an electrochemical potential, namely an electrochemical boundary layer with a potential difference. An integrated Ag/AgCl reference system serves as the reference electrode. The measured voltage is converted into the corresponding pH value based on the Nernst equation.
