CLS54D

The inductive conductivity sensor generates an alternating electromagnetic field at the primary coil, which induces an electrical current in the process medium. The current intensity depends on the conductivity of the medium, which is determined by its ion concentration. The induced current generates a secondary electromagnetic field at the secondary coil. The receiver measures the induced current in the secondary coil and uses it to determine the electrical conductivity of the process medium.
