CLD18

The transmitter coil of an inductive conductivity sensor generates an alternating electromagnetic field, which induces an electrical current in the process medium. The current magnitude is proportional to the conductivity of the medium, which is determined by its ion concentration. The induced current generates a secondary electromagnetic field at the receiver coil. The receiver measures the induced current in the coil and uses this signal to determine the conductivity of the process medium.
