At the anode, silver is oxidized to silver ions, forming a thin silver bromide layer. The transfer of ions at the cathode and anode generates an electrical current. Under normal operating conditions, the current is proportional to the dissolved oxygen concentration in the process medium. The measuring device converts the current into the dissolved oxygen concentration, which is displayed on the LCD. The oxygen saturation level is expressed as %SAT, while the oxygen content can also be displayed as partial pressure in hPa.、
