Colorimetric measurement is based on a chemical reaction between the sample and a specific reagent. After sample conditioning, part of the filtered sample is pumped into a mixing or reaction chamber, where the reagent is precisely dosed at a defined ratio to produce a characteristic color. A full-spectrum photometer measures the absorbance at selected wavelengths. The absorbance is proportional to the concentration of the target parameter. Reference measurement compensates for interference, while constant photometer temperature ensures stable and reproducible results.
