Measuring principle:
The measurement principle of a differential pressure transmitter is based on measuring the pressure difference between two process points. The transmitter is connected to different points in the process through two pressure ports: the high-pressure side (HP) and low-pressure side (LP). When gas or liquid acts on the two sides, the resulting differential pressure (ΔP) causes mechanical deformation of the internal sensing element, such as a metal diaphragm. This deformation is converted into an electrical signal using capacitive or resistive strain-gauge technology. The signal is then processed by signal-conditioning circuitry for amplification, linearization, temperature compensation, and other corrections, ultimately producing an industry-standard 4–20 mA analog output or a digital signal such as HART.
