The differential pressure transmitter measures by detecting the pressure difference between two pressure points. The device is connected to different measurement points of the process system through two pressure ports: the high-pressure side (HP) and low-pressure side (LP). When gas or liquid media act on both sides, the generated differential pressure (ΔP) drives the internal sensing element, such as a metal diaphragm, to produce mechanical deformation. This deformation is converted into an electrical signal through capacitive sensing technology or resistive strain gauge technology. The signal is then processed by the signal conditioning circuit, including amplification, linearization compensation, and temperature correction. Finally, the transmitter outputs an industrial standard 4–20 mA analog signal or digital signals such as HART protocol.
