A pressure switch mainly works based on the deformation characteristics of elastic sensing elements. Pressure switch sensors include ceramic diaphragm sensors and metal diaphragm sensors. Ceramic diaphragm sensors are non-filled sensors. The process pressure directly acts on the robust ceramic diaphragm, causing diaphragm deformation. The deformation changes the capacitance between the ceramic substrate electrode and the ceramic diaphragm electrode inside the sensor, which is converted into an electrical signal. Metal diaphragm sensors deform under process pressure. The filling fluid transfers the pressure to the Wheatstone bridge, converting the deformation of the sensing element into an electrical signal. The deformation is converted into an electrical signal through capacitive sensing or strain gauge technology. The signal is then processed by the signal conditioning circuit for amplification, linearization compensation, and temperature correction. Finally, the device outputs an industrial standard 4–20 mA analog signal.
