Measuring principle:
Radar measurement is based on the time-of-flight (ToF) principle, using a top-down, non-contact measurement system to determine the distance from the reference point to the medium surface. The antenna transmits a short pulse that is reflected from the surface and received by the radar level transmitter. By measuring the time difference between transmission and reception, the instrument calculates the distance and accurately determines the level. The measured distance is then converted into the actual level based on the preset empty-tank height. The ToF method is cost-effective and suitable for short-range measurement.
