Measuring principle:
Guided wave radar (GWR) uses the time-of-flight (ToF) principle to measure the distance from the reference point to the medium surface. High-frequency pulses travel along a guided wave probe or cable and are reflected at the medium surface due to a change in dielectric constant. The instrument calculates the time difference between the transmitted pulse and echo to determine the level. This measurement method is known as TDR (Time Domain Reflectometry).
