Capacitive level measurement is based on the principle that changes in material level cause variations in capacitance. The core principle is to detect the capacitance change between the sensor probe and the measured medium to determine the material level. When the medium approaches the sensor probe, it changes the distribution of the existing electric field, resulting in a variation of capacitance. This capacitance change is detected by the electronic circuit and converted into an electrical signal. When the signal reaches the predefined switching threshold, the instrument outputs a switch signal.
