The sensor rods are supplied with alternating voltage. When a conductive liquid is present, an electrical connection is established between the grounding rod and the MAX sensor rod, generating a measurable current that activates the Liquipoint T switch. For level limit detection, the switch changes state immediately when the liquid no longer covers the MIN point. For two-point control, the switch changes state only when the liquid no longer covers both the MAX and MIN points. The alternating voltage prevents sensor rod corrosion and medium electrolysis. The system uses a sealed zero-potential circuit between the sensor rods and the electronic insert, so tank wall material has no influence on measurement. During operation, contact between sensor rods is completely safe.

The Liquipoint FTW32 is designed for simple and reliable level limit detection of conductive liquids. Its multi-point detection function (up to 5 measuring rods) provides a wider measurement range and greater application flexibility.
