Gamma radiation is attenuated when passing through materials. Radiometric level detection works based on this principle. The attenuation depends on material density (ρ), thickness (d), and linear attenuation coefficient (µ): Fs = e^(-µρd) The Gamma source and Gammapilot detector are installed on opposite sides of the vessel at the same height as the detection point. During measurement, µ and d remain constant, and radiation intensity changes according to the medium level. • No medium in the radiation path → FTG20 counting rate reaches maximum. • Medium covers the radiation path → Radiation attenuation increases, FTG20 counting rate reaches minimum.

The FQG60 source container contains a built-in radioactive source for radiometric level limit detection, continuous level measurement, and density measurement. Radiation is emitted almost without attenuation in one direction, while being shielded in all other directions, ensuring operator safety and reliable measurement.
