Gamma radiation is attenuated when passing through materials. The radiometric level limit detection principle determines the medium presence by measuring changes in radiation intensity. • Attenuation depends on material density (ρ), thickness (d), and linear attenuation coefficient (µ), which is determined by the radiation source type • The Gamma source and Gammapilot are installed opposite each other at the required level detection point • During measurement, µ and d remain constant, and radiation intensity changes only with the measured medium • When the radiation path is clear (no medium present), FTG20 counting rate reaches the maximum value • When the radiation path is covered by the medium, radiation attenuation increases and FTG20 counting rate decreases to the minimum value
