Measuring principle:
The ultrasonic measurement principle is based on the time-of-flight method, measuring the distance between the reference point and the medium surface. The sensor transmits ultrasonic pulse signals toward the material surface. The pulses are reflected at the surface and received by the sensor. The transmitter measures the time difference (t) between signal transmission and reception. Based on the time difference (t) and sound velocity (c), the distance is calculated as: D = c × t / 2 Based on the measured distance (D), the system can further calculate the level (L), volume (V), and flow rate (Q) in measuring weirs or open channels.
