The tuning fork measurement principle is based on piezoelectric crystal excitation, which drives the vibrating fork to oscillate at its resonance frequency. When the tuning fork comes into contact with liquid, the adhesion force of the medium significantly increases damping, resulting in reduced vibration amplitude and frequency shift. For solid level detection, the tuning fork requires a specially designed structure (such as an extended fork length). When the fork is completely covered by the material, the vibration amplitude drops sharply, triggering the switching signal. The built-in electronic circuit continuously monitors changes in vibration parameters and activates the relay output switch signal through threshold comparison. Key advantages include non-contact detection (only the fork contacts the medium), fully solid-state design with no mechanical wear, fast response time, and suitability for level monitoring of both liquids and granular solids. Typical applications include chemical storage tanks, wastewater treatment systems, and level control in the food industry.
