Measuring principle:
Ultrasonic measurement is based on the time-of-flight principle, measuring the distance between the reference point and the medium surface. The sensor emits ultrasonic pulse signals toward the material surface. The pulse signals are reflected by the surface of the medium and received by the sensor. The transmitter measures the time difference (t) between signal transmission and reception. Based on the time difference (t) and the sound velocity (c), the distance is calculated as: Distance D = c × t / 2 Based on the measured distance D, the instrument can further calculate the level (L), volume (V), and flow rate (Q) in weirs or open channels.
