FMR60

Radar measurement is a top-down measuring system based on the Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) principle. It calculates the distance by transmitting a linearly frequency-modulated signal and analyzing the frequency difference between the reflected echo signal and the reference signal. The antenna transmits an FMCW signal, typically in the form of a triangular wave or sawtooth wave, with the frequency changing linearly over a defined range. When the transmitted signal reaches the surface of the medium, it is reflected back and coherently mixed with the reference signal to generate a beat frequency. By measuring the frequency difference of the beat signal, the signal travel time can be determined. The level height is then accurately calculated using the formula: Distance = (Wave velocity × Time difference) / 2 Combined with the predefined empty tank height parameter, the instrument automatically converts the measured distance into the actual level value. The FMCW method provides strong resistance to interference and high measurement accuracy, but it has a relatively higher cost.
