Measuring principle:

Fluorescence measurement is used to detect the presence of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in water. The instrument excites PAHs with ultraviolet light and detects the resulting fluorescence. In accordance with MEPC.259(68) and MEPC.340(77), PAH concentration is measured in phenanthrene equivalents (PAHphe). The excitation wavelength is 254 nm, with a detection wavelength of up to 360 nm.
