214C (Thermal resistance)

The working principle of a thermal resistor (RTD) is based on the characteristic that the resistance of a metal conductor changes with temperature to measure temperature. The core principle is that when the temperature changes, the lattice vibration amplitude of metal conductors such as platinum and copper alters, resulting in different degrees of electron movement obstruction and corresponding changes in resistance values. Take the platinum resistance Pt100 as an example. At 0℃, the standard resistance is 100Ω. For every 1℃ increase in temperature, the resistance increases by approximately 0.385Ω, showing a highly linear relationship within a certain temperature range. In actual measurement, a constant current source or bridge circuit is used to convert resistance changes into electrical signals. Wire errors are eliminated through three-wire or four-wire wiring. Finally, the resistance value is converted into a temperature value according to the international standard scale table.
