The low-range turbidity sensor directs collimated light from the light source into the water sample inside the sensor. Suspended particles in the sample scatter the incident light, and the scattered light at a 90° angle relative to the incident beam is captured by an immersed silicon photocell receiver. The turbidity value of the water sample is calculated based on the correlation between the 90° scattered light and the incident beam.

Standard

It is widely applied for online turbidity monitoring of raw filtered water, post-filter water and finished water in water plants as well as drinking water systems. It also performs online turbidity measurement for industrial circulating cooling water, filtered water and reclaimed water reuse processes.
