The non-contact radar level/level transmitter is a key instrument utilizing microwave technology for continuous, non-contact measurement of solid material or liquid surface height. It accurately and reliably remotely detects and measures the distance between the material/level in containers, tanks, or silos and a reference point (typically the meter mounting flange). The instrument emits microwave pulses (pulse radar) or frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW radar) signals through the antenna. After the signal propagates to the measured material surface and is reflected, the receiving antenna captures the echo.
